General summary

Responsible for providing functional supervision in the graduation auditing area. Audit undergraduate and graduate records to ensure all requirements are met for graduation eligibility.

Major duties

  • Supervises staff by managing workload, evaluating performance, and providing training to support consistent application of academic policies. Communicates updates to academic programs and University policies.
  • Reviews academic records to determine eligibility for graduation and honors in accordance with University standards. Conducts audits, confers degrees, and resolves issues related to degree completion.
  • Supports the administration and development of the University’s degree audit software. Assists with policy development, system testing, and staff training.
  • Provides guidance to students on academic policies and degree requirements. Communicates audit outcomes and addresses related inquiries.
  • Assists staff in resolving complex issues related to graduation audits to ensure alignment with University standards and student satisfaction. Oversees resolution of discrepancies as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison regarding University, college and program graduation requirements.
  • Evaluates transfer credit requests to ensure alignment with University policies and communicates outcomes to students and academic staff.
  • Assists with commencement planning and verifies accuracy of program information.

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • One years' relevant experience.
  • Office supervision and record management.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
