General summary

Manages the operation and configuration of the Housing Management System to ensure efficient and appropriate use by students and staff. Oversees housing processes including applications, contracts, occupancy, and billing for all on-campus housing. Supports data sharing across University departments through system integration.

Major duties

  • anages housing processes by configuring and maintaining the Housing Management System to support student and staff operations. Oversees the development and updates of contracts, assignments, billing, and related workflows.
  • Coordinates room configurations and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure system functionality and optimize occupancy across the University’s housing portfolio.
  • Improves operational effectiveness by reviewing and analyzing business processes, workflows, and job functions. Evaluates the feasibility of proposed changes within the Housing Management System and implements updates. Maintains departmental policies and procedures to reflect current operations.
  • Chairs committees focused on housing software selection and implementation to support departmental and divisional strategic goals. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure systems interface effectively and operate efficiently. Partners with University technology teams to align system functionality with operational needs.
  • Evaluates program outcomes and utilizes tools within the Housing Management System to collect, analyze, and formalize data. Prepares and distributes reports to inform decision-making and support departmental and University partners.
  • Provides first-level technical support for the Housing Management System to departmental end users. Develops business process documentation and training materials and delivers training to staff on system-related functions and updates.
  • Collaborates with external vendors on the implementations, updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance of housing-related hardware and software. Maintains accurate and up-to-date system documentation to support ongoing operations.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in housing management system.

Physical requirements

Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
