General summary

Provides strategic leadership for the International Admissions and Recruiting team through supervision, training, and ongoing professional development. Oversees the design and implementation of a comprehensive international recruitment and admissions strategy, managing recruitment, scholarship, and admissions decisions to ensure alignment with global trends and institutional priorities.

Major duties

  • Provides supervision, training, and ongoing staff development and mentorship for admissions and recruiting staff as well as motivation to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and professionalism.
  • Ensures timely and effective completion of work by direct reports and assists with recruitment and admissions tasks as needed.
  • Ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of the daily operations of the international admissions processing and service operations, including application processing, initial document production, articulation management, departmental coordination, and applicant advising.
  • Develops and manages multi-year strategic recruitment and admissions plans, including budgets and proposals, to support both domestic and international enrollment goals. Uses data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and adapt to changing markets and student demographics.
  • Oversees relationships with overseas agents and liaisons, maintains external communications, manages budget use, supports scholarship awarding, and identifies new recruitment opportunities. Participates in recruitment events and admissions tasks as needed.
  • Coordinates with University departments on admissions processes, including technical systems and special program agreements. Manages processes related to partner programs and generates reports on application status, collaborating with institutional research as needed.
  • Maintains documented procedures and best practices, including use of tools such as customer relationship management and student information systems.
  • Manages the tracking and auditing of scholarships, including student communication, disbursement, financial monitoring, and forecasting. Coordinates with stakeholder departments on student accounts and related communications.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience in international education.

Required other

  • Ability to travel internationally.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
