General summary

Supervises operations and activities of Parking Services by maintaining office systems and oversees staff. Organizes and coordinates office policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Major duties

  • Provides assistance and support to Public Safety officers and Command staff.
  • Attends strategic planning meetings regularly with campus departments.
  • Serves as a liaison for all campus departments and assists with parking and identification card needs across the University and oversees the ID card operations.
  • Identifies areas for improvement by reviewing reports, identifying trends, and summarizing data.
  • Assists with citation appeal decisions and results.
  • Directs work distribution and coordinates daily workflow.
  • Completes billing transactions and oversees daily banking process, including journal entries and reconciliation and banking deposits. Oversees the accuracy, collection, processing and maintenance of hard copy and electronic records.
  • Oversees daily identification card operations for staff, students and events.
  • Coordinates rental calendars with all necessary parties.
  • Monitors and addresses daily customer services calls and electronic communication.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Some college coursework from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds. Assists with Parking Maintenance operations, when needed, which include painting parking lots, cold patching potholes, placing signage, setting up barricades for event including sporting day events.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
