General summary

Creates and engages initiatives for students to impact retention and graduation rates. Provides support to students through referrals and resources.

Major duties

  • Plans and hosts events for students identity development, awareness, education, community and experiential learning.
  • Provides intersectional opportunities to students from underserved backgrounds.
  • Maintains and updates office logistics including databases, program budgets and student referrals.
  • Supports students through holistic coaching for academic success and well-being.
  • Advises and trains students in interests and initiatives for campus engagement.
  • Represents department in outreach and communication across campus and student recruitment efforts.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • One years' relevant experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
