General summary

Collaborates closely with Sports Performance and Sports Medicine teams to deliver integrated nutrition services that enhance student athlete health, optimize performance, and support overall well-being.

Major duties

  • Coordinates the planning and execution of daily practice fueling, game day and travel nutrition, and competition fueling strategies. Provides personalized nutrition guidance to student athletes.
  • Oversees the operation of fueling stations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely restocking, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manages the stocking and distribution of nutritional supplements to individual student athletes and teams.
  • Creates educational materials and resources for student-athletes and coaching staff.
  • Supports athlete monitoring through participation in testing, tracking, and reporting of key metrics.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Associate's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Six months' relevant experience.
  • Experience in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Dietetics or similar.

Required other

  • ServSafe Certification for Food Safety.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions with or without accommodations.

Physical requirements

Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
