General summary
Oversees the colleges efforts to create a culture of outcomes assessment and continuous improvement and leading the process by initiating, developing, and supporting the best practices to ensure alignment with the University and accreditation standards.
Major duties
- Implements, investigates, and evaluates results of college assessments. Creates and implements ways to share the results and helps the college community. Formulates action plans for using results for continuous improvement of programs and services.
- Oversees the evaluation of assessment components within program reviews and accreditation processes to support continuous quality improvement. Conducts meta-assessments to evaluate the culture of assessment and provides feedback on best practices.
- Provides expertise and guidance in best practices for designing and conducting effective assessments. Assures efforts for ongoing quality improvement of programs and services across the college and adherence to program accreditation standards.
- Prepares data for data analysis, ensuring confidentiality, preparing and formatting data, combining data sets and troubleshooting data entry errors.
- Analyzes and evaluates data.
- Designs and administers surveys, interviews, and observations when applicable.
- Generates and maintains content for accreditation, assessment, and research web pages.
- Provides timely feedback on assessment and accreditation to college leadership.
- Initiates and maintains collaborative working relationships with colleagues throughout the institution to ensure an integrated approach to assessment and effectiveness.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One years' relevant experience.
- Experience with data collection, statistical reporting and database management.
- Experience with querying databases.
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Experience with program accreditation.
- Experience with outcomes assessment.
Required other
- Ability to travel. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
