General summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs audio hardware and software to support University music and fine arts programs. Coordinates client sessions in the University’s sound studio to ensure appropriate audio engineering support.
Major duties
- Installs, maintains, and repairs audio technology for the University’s sound studio. Coordinates client sessions to ensure appropriate audio engineering support.
- Provides audio technology services for classrooms, workspaces, research centers, and other University facilities supporting music and fine arts programs.
- Maintains awareness of emerging trends in audio hardware and software to support effective technology management and innovation.
- Coordinates with academic and studio leadership to assess technology needs and support budget planning for music and fine arts programs.

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Moderate work occasionally working in difficult position or with physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving materials greater than 50 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
