General summary

Supervises students and temporary employees delivering client services during program hours. Ensures compliance with established procedures, protocols, and individual plans in accordance with policy.

Major duties

  • Ensures staff review and acknowledge required daily documentation, including client service plans, notes, and schedules, to maintain compliance with program protocols.
  • Trains, supervises, and provides feedback to direct care staff, including temporary employees, student employees, and interns, to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to program standards.
  • Attends client meetings and completes required documentation, ensuring accurate entry into the electronic medical record system.
  • Assists in developing and implementing client activities that align with individual objectives, needs, and interests, including small and large group programs.
  • Ensures health and safety standards are met per accreditation requirements and policies.
  • Monitors documentation of services for quality and accuracy.
  • Schedules staff and consumer ratios and activities. Participates in agency committees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Experience developing and implements activities for adults with different needs and abilities.
  • Supervisory experience.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Moderate work occasionally working in difficult position or with physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving materials greater than 50 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is performed with exposure to any number of elements which may occasionally require some precautions such as safety glasses, protective clothing, ear protection, etc.
