General summary

Oversees application processing and manages daily enrollment tasks for domestic applicants. Manages communication plans for prospects, applicants, and admitted students. Serves as the primary contact regarding enrollment policies and procedures.

Major duties

  • Manages and executes communication strategies for prospects, applicants, and admitted students. Monitors and evaluates communication effectiveness, making data-driven refinements. Creates event identifiers to track recruitment and yield outcomes.
  • Oversees daily application processing and entry term changes to ensure accuracy and policy compliance. Prepares applications for academic department review and collaborates to resolve errors in graduate-level records across University systems.
  • Serves as a primary contact for interpreting graduate enrollment policies and procedures. Researches and recommends updates to improve policies and enhance enrollment processes.
  • Develops marketing materials to promote graduate programs and activities. Maintains and updates the unit website to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with university standards.
  • Conducts virtual and in-person information sessions, including graduate program overviews and training. Participates in recruitment events to promote graduate education and recommends strategies to enhance outreach.
  • Assists with creating recruitment materials and manages the online graduate student orientation course, ensuring accuracy and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Manages data integrity reports for provisional admits and communicates status updates to applicants and departments. Audits application data to identify and resolve errors, collaborating with other University departments on complex data integrity issues.
  • Provides backup support for enrollment and systems functions during peak periods to maintain continuity of operations.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in student services, admissions, enrollment management, training coordination, or related administrative work in a higher education environment.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
