General summary
Provides data-driven analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making and operations across the institution, focusing primarily on student and graduate success.
Major duties
- Designs, builds, evaluates, and delivers advanced analytics solutions, including dashboards, ad hoc reports, and early alert systems using various tools. Consults with senior leadership and functional users to ensure solutions support strategic decision-making and operations with a focus on student and graduate success.
- Analyzes data and key metrics and authors reports to provide insights to senior leadership with a focus on retention, graduation, course completion, academic progress, post-graduation outcomes, advising, and support services. Serves as the subject matter expert on student success analytics.
- Collaborates with individuals and project teams from across the University to enhance business processes and resolve application issues related to data collection, integration, and access.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of student success initiatives. Tracks interventions and outcomes over time to measure impact. Translates institutional goals into measurable success metrics.
- Participates in training and professional development to stay current with best practices and trends in business analytics and higher education.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution, or a bachelor’s degree in a non-related field from an accredited institution combined with relevant experience.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
