General summary

Provides operational, administrative, and budgetary support for the Center for Advancing Arts Research (CFAAR) and the Virtual Imaging Technology Lab (VITAL).

Major duties

  • Manages facility rentals and event bookings, including client communications, contract and invoice preparation.
  • Manages front-of-house operations, including ticketing services, patron support, and customer service activities.
  • Handles marketing, promotion, and social media.
  • Provides lead budgetary support, including budget monitoring, tracking, reconciliation, forecasting, and allocation recommendations.
  • Prepares and analyzes budget reports to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Manages office operations, including the procurement of supplies, equipment, and technology resources.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Some college coursework from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Office experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Experience with using and querying databases.
  • Experience with budget management.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
