General summary

Manages the bank accounts and the preparation of monthly investment and financial documents for the University.

Major duties

  • Manages bank account functions. Performs and approves money transfers, wire transfers, and automated clearing house payments.
  • Creates monthly investment spreadsheets, journal entries and income allocations.
  • Maintains lines of credit.
  • Responsible for cash management and investing activities to ensure optimum utilization of University financial resources. Evaluates cash flow needs. Recommends investment and liquidation activity concerning operating cash.
  • Serves as a University-wide resource regarding endowments, quasi-endowments and financial activities.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Experience with accounting or finance.

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
