Five Things to Know About WMU Giving Day:
-
WMU Giving Day is Powered by YOU! When alumni and friends make donations to WMU, they are ensuring students have every opportunity they need to succeed, helping to keep campus on the cutting edge of education, and helping to raise our rankings in definitive publications such as U.S. News & World Report!
-
WMU Giving Day is ONE DAY only and unites Broncos in the collective power of giving. Gifts can be made (between midnight and 11:59 p.m.) on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
-
YOU choose where to make your gift! There are some 2,000 different funds that cover almost all areas of WMU. 100% of every gift is designated by the donor to the fund of their choice!
-
Every Gift Counts! All gifts, no matter the amount, can make a difference at WMU! When every Bronco pitches in and makes a gift, ideas and dreams become reality!
-
There are chances to Increase the Impact! Throughout the day, there will be a number of challenges that can bring extra funding to different areas of campus. Visit the Challenges tab to see how to compete.
Get ready to make your gift and tell all your Bronco friends and family about how they can make a difference at WMU on April 14!

Giving Initiatives
You can help the Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program students by supporting these critical needs:
Our Borrowing Program
While Kalamazoo Promise Scholars may have all or part of their tuition covered by The Kalamazoo Promise, it doesn’t cover things like books and other course materials. The KPSP Borrowing Program is a lending library of books and other materials that can be used to support students’ academic success.
University Scholarships
The majority of Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program students receive some sort of financial support from WMU, and much of that support comes from donor-generated giving. Scholarships make a big impact by:
-
Enabling students to stay in school
-
Ensuring graduates are prepared for their careers
- Giving students opportunities for enhanced experiences, such as study abroad
-
Helping students incur less of a financial burden from student loan debt
Together, as a community, we can support scholarships, experiential learning, career development events, research opportunities, and more for every Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program student at WMU. Our Giving Day success—and our everyday success—is powered by you!
On April 14, make a gift of any amount by visiting WMU's Giving Day page and designating your gift as you choose. Or, you can support Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program students on our giving page. Gifts made online must be made on Wednesday, April 14, between midnight and 11:59 p.m.to count toward WMU Giving Day 2021.
