Some of the main goals of the Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program are to increase retention and graduation rates, develop the student’s sense of belonging at WMU, and strengthen the student’s knowledge of their Promise scholarship and financial aid. In an effort to achieve these goals, the KPSP team has developed a fresh set of requirements for ALL incoming freshmen and transfer Kalamazoo Promise students to complete.
IN ORDER FOR YOUR PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP TO BE RELEASED AND APPLIED TO YOUR ACCOUNT, ALL INCOMING FRESHMEN AND TRANSFER KALAMAZOO PROMISE STUDENTS ATTENDING WMU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
- Schedule an appointment with a member of the KPSP team to introduce yourself and create a success plan.
- Appointment dates open: Monday, August 28th, 2023
- Appointment dates close: Friday, October 20th, 2023
The goal is to meet all incoming and transfer students face to face and create a success plan in order to begin their journey at WMU on the right foot.
