WMU honors veterans with November events

WMU will observe Veterans Day by recognizing the contributions of veterans with a series of events including a cookout, a 5k run and a forum on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Acclaimed New York playwright to read as part of Frostic Series

Edward Allen Baker, whose more than 30 plays have been produced worldwide, will read at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in 105-107 Bernhard Center. The reading is free and open to the public.

Weekly drawings continue for faculty, staff who donate to United Way

Weekly prize drawings continue through Friday, Nov. 15, for faculty and staff who donate to WMU's 2013 campus United Way Campaign. A number of employees have already won prizes.

Activist to speak about racism and tolerance training

Anti-racism activist and author Tim Wise will speak on "Beyond Diversity: Challenging Racism in an Age of Backlash" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Bernhard Center's South Ballroom.

Road closure to affect Parkview Campus

Starting Monday, Nov. 4, for a duration of about two and a half weeks, southbound Drake Road between Parkview Avenue and Stadium Drive will be closed.
