- Strategic Resource Management training and implementation work groups will continue their work to assess needs, develop action plans, and review and update current business processes. Implementation activities will gear up and begin to reach departments beginning in March 2020. Regular updates are made to the budget model website at https://wmich.edu/budgetmodel.
- Initial search committee meetings have commenced, as have input sessions with key stakeholders, to begin hiring processes as we seek to fill two key academic administrative positions: Dean, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Dean, Graduate College. Off-site interviews will be held in the coming months and be followed by campus visits late in the spring semester. We hope you will make time to attend public presentations, engage with the candidates, and provide your feedback during the process. Dace Copeland, Business Manager Senior, is providing administrative support to both concurrent searches and can be contacted via email with any questions at @email.
- Several changes in enrollment management are being developed and implemented while partnerships with an external firm, EAB, continue to progress in various stages; so far, major transformations have begun in the office of admissions and the office of financial aid. All are aimed at improving the recruitment and financial welfare of future Broncos. Stay tuned for additional details.
- The Office of the Provost website is under construction. There are several new features, a new layout, and multiple new ways to engage. It is one of the ways we are demonstrating our commitment to transparent communication and highlighting the positive and strategic work of Academic Affairs. Please check back for more updates and be watching for a stronger social media presence in the coming months.
