Dr. Anderson Hagler is an Associate Professor in the Department of World Religions and Cultures at Western Michigan University. He is the author of Sins of Excess: The Spatial Politics of Idolatry and Magic in Colonial Mexico. He has published peer-reviewed articles in Ethnohistory, The Americas: A Quarterly Review of Latin American History, Slavery & Abolition, and Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Latin American History.
