SFC Teresa McCormick's is a native of Michigan. She began her career in the military enlisting into the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1994. She served as a Law Enforcement Specialist and a Training Instructor for the United States Air Force Desert Warfare Training Center-Silver Flag Alpha where she worked side-by-side with various government agencies and sister branches. Her duty stations included Incirlik AB, Turkey, Comiso AS, Sicily, and Nellis AFB, Nevada.
SFC McCormick reenlisted into the United States Army Reserve in October of 2010 as a Military Police. She was assigned to the 303rd Military Police Company out of Jackson, Michigan with whom she completed a combat deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She has been awarded Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal w/bronze oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M device, NATO Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/2 oak leaf clusters.
In 2018, SFC McCormick was selected to rejoin active duty as a recruiter for the United States Army Reserve. She has been very successful in this role and currently holds the position of Deputy Station Commander and Army Reserve Liaison to Western Michigan University ROTC.
SFC McCormick earned her associate degree in general education and bachelor’s degree in physical education; both from Troy State University. Continuing her education has helped in developing and maintaining her physical fitness and leadership skills. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in strategic management through Liberty University.
