Bio:

Originally from Waterford, Michigan, MSG Levi Rodrigues joined the military in 2011. After completion of Basic and OSUT, he was assigned to 1st Battalion 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division at Fort Richardson Alaska where he served as Rifleman, Squad Automatic Weapon’s Gunner and Platoon Radio Telephone Operator. In 2012 he served one tour in Afghanistan with 4th Brigade in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 

In 2014 MSG Rodrigues reenlisted and relocated to Fort Benning, Georgia where he was assigned to 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Shortly after arriving, the unit would inactivate to the first conventional CONUS Task Force to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment where MSG Rodrigues served in various leadership roles including Fire Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant. After departing Task Force 1-28 in 2017, MSG Rodrigues was assigned to the Army’s First Security Forces Assistance Brigade at Fort Benning where he held the roles of Operations Advisor and Team NCOIC. He deployed in 2018 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 

Following his assignment at Fort Benning, MSG Rodrigues arrived at 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team (STRIKE), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in 2020. During his tenure in 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment MSG Rodrigues served two tours in support of Operation Assure, Deter, and Reinforce and served in multiple companies in various positions. He effectively served as Rifle and Recon Platoon Sergeant, Company First Sergeant for Charlie Company 1st-502nd, Assistant Operations Sergeant and Operations Sergeant Major. 

MSG Rodrigues’ military education includes completion of the Maneuver Senior Leaders Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Combat Advisor Training Course, Battle Staff, Joint-Fire Power Controller Course, SFA Foreign Weapons Course, SERE (Conduct After Capture) Course, Advance Situational Awareness Course, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course, Equal Opportunity, Combative’s Course lvl 1 and Combat Lifesaver Course. 

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Unit Citation, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with one silver oak leaf cluster, Global War on Terrorism Medal, NATO Ribbon with numeral 4, Non-Commissioned Officer NCOPD Ribbon with numeral 4, Global Expeditionary Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars and the Master Combat Infantry Badge (MCIB). MSG Rodrigues is a recipient of the Order of St. Maurice and St. Michael. 

His civilian education includes an associate of arts in degree in Counter Terrorism Studies. MSG Rodrigues has been married for 14 years and currently has one daughter.
