1938 – 2006

 

Richard W. "Dick" Fulton, 67, died at home Wednesday, January 4, 2006. He was a graduate of Athens High School. He and his wife, Nuala Carey Fulton resided in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Born March 3, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan, Richard was the son of the late Richard and Cleo Fulton of Athens.

He graduated from Western Michigan University and served two years as an officer in the US Army. He had a lifelong career in sales and was an active member of the Lancaster Jaycees. He was a member of the Lancaster Red Rose barbershop chorus and enjoyed singing in the chorus as well as a number of quartets. He loved gardening, playing cribbage and visiting with his grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his wife of 41 years, three daughters and one son; Keara (Lloyd) Fink, Shenandoah Junction, W. VA; Deirdre (Warren) BeVard, Frederick, MD; Maura Fulton, Washington, D. C.; Sean (Lori) Fulton, Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren and one sister, Rae Jean Penny (Roger) Cook, Sherwood, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lancaster on Saturday, January 7 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster.
