1935 – 2005

 

A long time resident of Montgomery, AL, and a native of Kalamazoo, MI, died Thursday, October 20, 2005, after an extended illness.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Laurena Nedervelt of Kalamazoo, and his beloved wife of 41 years, Judith McLain Nedervelt, also a native of Kalamazoo.

 

He was a long time member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Montgomery, AL, and was a deacon emeritus. He was previously a member of North Park Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, MI.

 

He was a graduate of Western Michigan University and an Army veteran.

 

He is survived by a son, Tim "T.J." Nedervelt and his wife Corinne "Korki", and a son Brad Nedervelt; and five grandchildren: Tiffany, Kirsten, Karrie, Kevin and Kyle Nedervelt. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth P. Nedervelt and his late wife, Evelyn, of Kalamazoo, and one niece and two nephews. Services will be Monday, October 23, 2005, at 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, AL, with one hour of visitation prior to the services. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
