Mr. Terry L. Redamak, 62, of New Buffalo, Mich., died suddenly Sunday, March 28, 2004, at his home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Michigan City to George and Gladys (Berg) Redamak, and had lived in New Buffalo since 1972.

Mr. Redamak was an attorney and established the law firm Farina and Redamak with his partner, Dominic Farina. He was a member of the Michigan Bar, New Buffalo Public Library Board of Trustees, Pottawattomie Country Club in Michigan City and New Buffalo Lions Club. He was a member and past president of the Berrien County Bar Association, chairman of the board of directors of New Buffalo Savings Bank and was an avid supporter of New Buffalo community youth activities, having coached softball and basketball. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University and a 1972 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Panama. He enjoyed bowling and golfing.

On Oct. 3, 1970, in LaPorte, he married Mary Elizabeth Bortz, who survives.  Also surviving are his mother, Gladys Redamak-Shimkus of New Buffalo; three daughters, Julia (James) Flick and Sara E., both of New Buffalo and Amanda R. of Nashville, Tenn.; one grandson, Michael Flick; and one stepbrother, Peter Shimkus of Lake Oswego, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Peter Shimkus.

A private family service will be held. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. LaPorte County time at Sommerfeld-Smith Family Funeral Home, New Buffalo.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army; New Buffalo Public Library; or to New Buffalo Sports Inc.
