Assistant Professor - Statistics - Tenure Track

The Department of Statistics at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in August 2019. The position requires a Ph.D. degree in biostatistics or statistics obtained by December 31, 2019.

 

Expertise and interest in biostatistical research and teaching are required. Job duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising Ph.D. students, conducting research, pursuing external funding, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. This is one of seven new positions in the WMU College of Arts and Sciences that are part of a faculty cluster established to build on our existing excellence in public health research and community engagement to create innovative public health solutions.The candidate is expected and has ample opportunities to collaborate with investigators of the public health cluster on research projects including those involving big data.
