The smell of ramen is wafting through the air at the Western Michigan University Student Center. HÔU JIA Kitchen and Bar, featuring the bold flavors of Taiwanese street fare, is now officially open in the space formally known as The Pub.

HÔU JIA (pronounced HOH jyuh) translates to “tasty food and drink,” and the restaurant aims to capture the flavors of traditional Taiwanese night markets. Its menu includes items such as ramen noodles, bento boxes, boba and bubble tea. The restaurant will also sell beer and wine.
