Goal: Develop or enhance the skills required for effective performance as a production supervisor

Regardless of the type of technical expertise related to a particular supervisory function, effective supervision depends on the ability to get things done through other people. Communicating, leading, coaching and motivating are all critical factors in the supervisory role.

In this three-day workshop filled with activities and role play situations, participants will:

  • Increase their understanding of personal style and the way it affects work performance using the DiSC assessment instrument.
  • Learn how to communicate more effectively by tailoring a communication style to meet the needs of the listener, using good listening skills and understanding the importance of non-verbal communication.
  • Discover strategies for managing challenging situations and addressing problem behavior.
  • Identify the key elements of effective leadership and their personal leadership style, while learning how to build influence, facilitate change and provide a model that helps others to manage the change and complexity of their jobs.
  • Study coaching techniques that can be used to improve employee motivation and work performance.
  • Improve their skills as on-the-job trainers by gaining a better understanding of adult learning, using feedback techniques and mastering one-on-one teaching strategies.

The cost for this three-day workshop packed with coaching, simulations and a work DiSC assessment is $999 per participant. Attendees will garner 24 professional Continuing Education Units.
