Faculty Members Present at Various Conferences Around the Country

This fall the following faculty members of Western Michigan University presented at various conferences around the country.

In September Drs. Paul Farber and Dini Metro-Roland presented “Place of Teachers in a Digital Age” at the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Conference, Dayton, OH.

In October Drs. Marcia Fetters and Sarah Summy presented “Cohorts in Teacher Education Programs: Implications for Recruiting and Retaining Quality” and “Developing a Disposition Framework That Aligns with Expectations From The Field” at the Teachers Southeastern Regional Association of Teacher Educations annual meeting, Charleston, SC.

In November, the Chair of the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Studies, Dr. Regena Fails Nelson presented a paper titled “Comparative analysis of an urban Montessori’s preschool state and national ratings of quality” at the annual meeting of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Dallas, TX.
