Dr. Moi Mooi Lew joins the Department

Dr. Moi Moi Lew joined the department this fall to coordinate the MA in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language program.  She has been a faculty member in teacher education in Malaysia.  Since coming to WMU she has presented 2 papers at international and national conferences about beginning teachers and co-authored an article and a book chapter with Dr. Regena Nelson on culturally responsive teaching practices and service - learning. She will spend the month of November visiting universities in China, Vietnam and Malaysia to recruit students for the fall 2017 MA Teaching Chinese cohort.
