WMU Kellogg Community College Kendall Endowed Scholarships
Western Michigan University is pleased to offer Kellogg Community College (KCC) Kendall Endowed Scholarships to qualified KCC students who transfer to WMU. These scholarships are made possible by generous funding from Roy F. and Beulah I. Kendall.
WMU KCC Kendall Endowed Merit Scholarship
Value: Ranges from $1,000 to $5,500 (renewable for up to two years or until graduation, whichever comes first). Award amount will depend on applicant's GPA, applicant pool and available funds.
Criteria:
- 3.00+ transferable GPA
- 56+ transferrable credits OR complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) OR earn an Associate's Degree before beginning at WMU.
- Students must transfer directly from KCC to WMU. Students cannot attend any other college or university in the interim.
Deadline: Students must submit a complete admission application file† by the fall transfer application deadline.
WMU KCC Kendall Endowed Support Scholarship
Value: Ranges from $1,000 to $5,500 (renewable for up to two years or until graduation, whichever comes first). Award amount will depend on applicant's GPA, FAFSA, applicant pool and available funds.
Criteria:
- 2.50+ transferable GPA
- Pell-Eligible, as determined by the FAFSA. Students must submit a FAFSA to WMU by the fall transfer application deadline.
- 56+ transferrable credits OR complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) OR earn an Associate's Degree before beginning at WMU.
- Students must transfer directly from KCC to WMU. Students cannot attend any other college or university in the interim.
Deadline: Students must submit a complete admission application file† by the fall transfer application deadline.
Renewal criteria
- Earn and maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative grade point average at WMU
- Enroll as a full-time student at WMU (minimum 12 credits per fall and spring semesters, repeated courses not included)
- Successfully complete 24 credit hours per academic year (not to include summer sessions or repeated courses)
Notes
- Award amounts are based on the information in the WMU Application at the time of admission. Students must provide documentation of the above requirement by the fall transfer deadline in order for scholarship to pay out to their account. In the event that a student did not meet the above requirement, WMU reserves the right to cancel the scholarship.
- GPAs are the combined college GPA on a 4.00 scale as calculated by the WMU Office of Admissions.
- Awards are paid out per fall and spring semester only for two years (four consecutive spring and fall semesters) or until graduation, whichever occurs first.
- The KCC Kendall Endowed Scholarships are available to domestic students only. Students who previously attended WMU as a degree-seeking student are not eligible.
