Lewis Walker Institute’s 35th Anniversary Gala Benefit
Join us in celebrating 35 years of the Lewis Walker Institute at Western Michigan University with a special Gala Benefit Fundraiser on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the WMU Student Center.
This gala fundraiser celebrates our past achievements and is a crucial opportunity to invest in our future by supporting our vital youth programs, WIRE and Youth Juvenile Justice Fellows, that empower students from diverse backgrounds. We warmly invite all members of our community—students, educators, and advocates for social justice—to join us on this momentous occasion as we come together to champion understanding and advocacy in race and ethnic relations. This elegant evening will feature a keynote address from Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, a renowned scholar and advocate for educational equity. Guests will enjoy a night of networking, entertainment, and a shared commitment to supporting LWI youth programs that empower the next generation.
