Holtyn Wellness offers free Wellness Workshops for groups of six or more on several topics including stretching, sleep, cooking with local ingredients, smart snacking, emotional well-being and more. It is a perfect way to kick off a staff meeting or add value to your lunch hour. Some programs require 30 minutes, but many can be tailored to your time frame. Eighty percent of Americans will experience lower back pain (LBP) at some point in their life. Muscle tension, standing or sitting for long periods of time, straining the neck forward, and long driving sessions are all sources of LBP. This workshop will demonstrate ways to fix your lower back pain by altering form and incorporating specific exercises into your daily routine.

 

Farm Fresh Feasts: Embrace the Bounty of the Farmers Market

This exciting workshop will focus on making flavorful recipes using ingredients sourced from local farmers. We will explore ways to incorporate seasonal fruit and vegetables into day-to-day eating and provide quick and easy lunch recipes that are nourishing and full of flavor!

This program will highlight the science of sleep, explore the components of the 10-3-2-1-0 Sleep Habit, and equip you with practical strategies for improved sleep and less fatigue. Learn how to optimize your sleep routine and wake up with renewed energy!

 

How to Overcome Disabling Thoughts (30 Minute Length)

In this EQ workshop, participants will identify disabling thoughts, develop resilience to these thoughts, and apply positive psychology. (Based on a 6 hr Brain Potential Webinar by Jaime Kurtz, Ph.D).

 

Sip Smart-Ditching Sugary Beverages for a Healthier You

Discover the hidden dangers of sugary beverages and how to break the addictive grip of these drinks. You will learn how to transform your hydration routine and discover an array of healthy alternatives. Come thirsty as we will provide refreshing beverages!

Snacks have a place in a healthy diet, providing nutrients and energy between meals. In this interactive session, we will dive into the fundamentals of healthy snacking, explore creative recipes, and provide practical tips to help you make more informed snacking choices.

 

Stretch Express

Experts suggest Americans sit for approximately 10 hours each day. Stretching a few times per day will help improve flexibility, improve blood flow, and increase range of motion. This session will demonstrate important stretches for each part of the body and teach you how to perform them with proper technique. Join this workshop ready to stretch!

 

Successfully Creating New Habits and Kicking the Old Ones (30 Minute Length)

Based on Stanford behavioral science BJ Fogg’s book, “Tiny Habits", EQ workshop participants will learn judgment-free, science-based methods of changing habits, which are far more effective than relying on motivation alone.

 

Transforming the Way We Gather (30 Minute Length)

Whether for work or pleasure, gatherings of any kind can become rote and stale. Drawing from Priya Parker’s book, “The Art of Gathering,” EQ Workshop participants will more deeply explore why and how we meet to give the most purpose and fulfillment to our time together.
