MTTC

In collaboration with WMU’s College of Education and Human Development, the Writing Center provides advice and test preparation for clients taking the writing subset of the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Professional Readiness Examination. We have developed several sample handouts, multiple choice questions and writing prompts designed to prepare you for this difficult and demanding test.

We encourage all interested MTTC clients to schedule an appointment with a consultant as soon as possible. Because of the breadth of the MTTC, we recommend that clients begin meeting with a consultant several months in advance of taking the test. MTTC consultations give clients an opportunity to practice the test and to discuss responses with a writing consultant. When making an appointment with a consultant, we recommend that you look at the consultants’ bio to learn which consultants are experienced in the MTTC exam.
