Fireside Chat with Dr. Karen Korematsu
Join us for a fireside chat with Dr. Karen Korematsu, the founder and president of the Fred T. Korematsu Institute, and the daughter of the late civil rights icon, Fred Korematsu. Fred Korematsu was an American civil rights activist who resisted the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
Dr. Karen Korematsu is a national speaker who travels the country advocating for civil liberties, social justice, civics and ethnic studies education. She promotes Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution on January 30 in perpetuity for all fifty states. She has signed on to several amicus briefs opposing violations of constitutional rights.
