Serving as the gatekeeper for the Haworth College of Business image while simultaneously acting as a consummate leader and friend. These are the hallmarks of Stacey Anderson’s work, and for these reasons and more, she was recognized with this year’s Superior Staff Award.

As director of marketing and communications, Stacey leads a unit that plays a vital role in representing the college and University in an exceptional light. Under her leadership, her team has become increasingly more strategic and process-oriented, delivering more effective communication efforts on behalf of the college. Stacey also works to make the University more successful in its communication strategies by contributing her time and talents to efforts like the Think Big initiative and new budget model.

Stacey has a reputation for strong leadership, professionalism and quality work that resonates across the University and beyond. She is an excellent project manager who sets the pace for exemplary work in a diverse range of publications and programs. Stacey is at the helm for some of the most exceptional and critical communications delivered to Haworth College of Business alumni and friends, such as The 30 and the annual Business magazine. Additionally, she supports her team in integral communications and programs including digital marketing, media efforts, conference promotion, prospective student marketing and more. The superiority of Stacey’s work and leadership is evidenced by multiple awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and others.

“It is not just a single piece of quality work that helps Stacey stand out,” says Dr. Satish Deshpande, Haworth College of Business dean. “Instead, it is a history of leadership and service that has helped the college build a strong presence among our competition and stakeholders. I sincerely appreciate how she is helping to advance the college and University.”

“Sharing the many initiatives that highlight the exemplary work of our students, faculty and staff is a joy. The fabric of the Haworth College of Business experience is vibrant, unique and redesigned by each new project, offering or interaction. Telling that story through a variety of means is the best job there is.”
