Leadership Coaching, WMU-Style
After completing her B.B.A. at the Haworth College of Business, Alexandra Rozema continued her education at the University of Minnesota earning a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations. Following graduation, she worked in human resources, training and recruitment positions at a number of different Fortune 1000 companies but is now taking a different approach to human resources, leadership development. She recently became a consultant at Aha! Leadership, LLC where she helps others reach their full potential as leaders. Aha! Leadership LLC works by “inspiring leaders to change their mindset, tap into their unique personal potential and ignite results based on teamwork” through a variety of leadership development, training and coaching programs.
In tough economic times, Rozema sees that companies are in need of skilled leaders now more than ever. “Leaders are constantly being asked to do more with less,” she comments, when asked about the challenges of the business world, “The most successful leaders know they must engage their entire team and tap into all their talents to reach the fullest potential of the group.”
Motivating employees to get the best results is a skill many leaders must learn, and Aha! Leadership LLC focuses on constant development and continuous improvement, recognizing that there is always room for growth, no matter what level of success one has reached. “We all get different forms of feedback, pretty much daily if we pay attention. Successful leaders are those who know how to use that and constantly seek it to grow and build upon their successes and missteps.”
