Bio:

Branson Boykins is an assistant professor and a licensed psychologist.  Dr. Boykins received his doctorate in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University and has experience providing therapy in various clinical settings, including university counseling centers, community mental health centers, residential facilities, and public schools.  He completed his predoctoral internship at California State University, Long Beach CAPS , and his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University CAPS. His research and teaching interests are focused in the areas of multicultural psychology and exploring intersections between race and psychology, best clinical practices when working with marginalized populations, men's health and psychological well-being, African American psychology, and contemporary forms of bias and oppression experienced by racial minorities. He enjoys teaching courses on topics such as counseling techniques, research methods, social psychology, multicultural psychology, and group therapy.
