Hovestadt Co-presents at Conference and Accepts Board Appointment

Alan Hovestadt, Professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology and Coordinator of the Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling Program, has accepted appointment as a Board Member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the new book titled The Sage Encyclopedia of Marriage, Family and Couples Counseling. Nationally renowned educators, researchers and authors, Jon Carlson and Shannon Dermer,  will serve as General Editors for the Encyclopedia. Dr. Hovestadt also co-presented a program at the Annual Conference of the American Counseling Association (ACA) in Honolulu, Hawaii, titled Family Counseling Education in Developing and Emerging Countries. Hovestadt focused on the state of training and education in Russia, the United Kingdom and Rawanda. The program was sponsored by the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors' (IAMFC), Couples & Family Counseling Academy. Hovestadt was a founding board member of the IAMFC which is a division of the ACA.
