National Choreography Competition Application

We are now seeking applicants for our 8th biennial National Choreography Competition.

The deadline for submissions is January 16, 2026

The winner will receive a $5,000 prize as part of a commission to create a work that will premiere in the WMU Dance February 2027 Winter Dance Concert. Learn more.

Eligibility: Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen.

*Finalists will be responsible for providing video materials in a format that can be used on our website for online viewing. Further details will be provided to those selected.
