Dual enroll at WMU
Dual enrollment through Early College Programs at WMU provides eligible high school students with credits that may be applied toward high school graduation requirements as well as a college or university program.
How to apply
To dual enroll at WMU, you need to:
- Be enrolled in a Michigan high school
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (freshmen–juniors) or 2.75 (seniors)
- Receive approval from your counselor and parent/guardian
Steps to Apply
- Complete the online application and select Main Campus | Domestic Student when prompted.
- Enter your counselor’s email and your parent/guardian’s email in the required sections.
- Submit your application. WMU will automatically email your counselor and parent/guardian approval forms.
- Your counselor must complete the Counselor Approval Form and submit transcripts.
- Your parent/guardian must complete the Parent Approval Form.
Your application is not complete until both approvals and transcripts are submitted.

After You Apply
Once all materials are received, a decision will be sent to the email you used to apply. You can also track your application status through the application portal.
After you are admitted
Complete the following steps:
- Fill out the Third-Party Authorization Form with your high school counselor.
- Complete the Dual Enrollment Academic Contract
- Complete the Dual Enrollment Behavior Contract
- Review the list of approved WMU dual enrollment courses.
- Email @email to discuss and schedule your courses.
