Resources

Disability Services for Students (DSS) supports dual enrollment students by providing guidance on disability-related accommodations and helping students access appropriate support to participate in their WMU courses. High school counselors can use this office as a resource to help students understand the accommodation process and connect with DSS to discuss their individual needs.

Important: High school IEPs and 504 plans do not automatically transfer to college. Students must contact DSS to request accommodations and follow the university’s process each semester. Accommodations are not retroactive, so students are encouraged to connect with DSS early.

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities supports high school counselors working with dual enrollment students by providing guidance on WMU’s Student Code of Conduct, academic integrity expectations, and student conduct concerns. Counselors can use this office as a resource to help students understand their rights and responsibilities as WMU students and navigate the student conduct process when needed.

The WMU Technology Help Desk supports dual enrollment students with technical issues related to their WMU accounts, passwords, university email, D2L, Wi-Fi, and other university technology systems. High school counselors can use this office as a resource to help students troubleshoot technical difficulties and connect with support so they can access the tools and systems needed for their WMU courses.

The best way for a student to use this resource is by calling 269-387-4357.
