What will I do in the engineering design technology program?

You will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects with local industry, qualify for our departmental scholarships and become a member of one of our registered student organizations, such as Tau Alpha Pi. By the time you receive your degree, you will be able to apply the fundamentals of plastics processing, machining, rapid prototyping and design verification.

Some of your core courses will include:

  • Engineering Graphics
  • Product Design Fundamentals
  • Applied Electricity and Electronics
  • Plastics Properties and Processing
  • Statics and Strength of Materials
  • Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics
  • Programming for CAD
  • Product and Machine Design
“I truly love working with different CAD programs and learning about machining and manufacturing processes, To me this is neat because as technology grows, we can grow with it.
