César Chávez March

Posted by Erin Flynn for Multicultural Affairs for Students

The César Chávez March is an annual event designed to educate our students and community about César Chávez, a social justice advocate who fought for civil rights of farm workers—specifically migrant labor—and to celebrate farm working families and students on our campus. The march begins at Bronson Park and ends at the Bernhard Center, where the Sigma Lambda Beta Epsilon chapter and Kappa Delta Chi Gamma Gamma chapter will host an assembly in the ballroom. Eduardo Chávez, the grandson of César Chávez, will provide a keynote address.
