Power Plant Greenhouse Gas (GHG)

The central Power Plant dispatches steam and electricity to the campus buildings. Monthly and annual energy data and Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions are available to the campus community.

WMU has made significant progress in reducing its emissions.  Transitioning from coal to co-gen plant and a keen focus on energy conservation and LEED constitution principles have resulted in a 70% reduction since 1985.
