Explore Your Opportunities

Ashley is an independent sales representative for UGG Australia, responsible for presenting and managing the children’s line to retailers. In her first position at UGG as a merchandiser, she conducted clinics and created look books and displays for major retailers. After two years with UGG, she was promoted to a sales position in St. Louis, Missouri. The following year, she was promoted again to her current position in Charlotte, North Carolina, taking on a larger territory and working with major retailers.  About her job at UGG, Ashley says “I love working with others in sales and UGG has been a wonderful brand to be a part of.”

Ashley credits her first job after graduation as a store manager with Coach Inc. for giving her the leadership and management experience she needed to be successful in her current job. She advises new professionals to “explore every opportunity, stay patient, and work hard.  Your dream job may not be your first opportunity.  Remain open to new ideas; you may excel in a position you did not originally think was for you.”

While completing her fashion merchandising major, Ashley studied abroad in London and completed an internship in the public relations department at New Look-London. She was also an active member of MODA, the campus student organization for fashion students, and participated in extracurricular sports while at WMU.
