WMU United Way Campaign 2026: Join Broncos in strengthening south central Michigan

Western Michigan University’s 2026 United Way Campaign runs Oct. 12 to Nov. 9 and supports programs and services that promote health, youth opportunity and financial stability across south central Michigan. Every gift helps create opportunities for individuals and families across our region.

How to give

WMU employees can enroll in payroll deduction beginning January 2027 through the secure online giving portal. All donors can also make a one-time gift through the portal or download a pledge form and mail it to:

Donor appreciation prize drawings

Eligible donors will be entered into prize drawings following the conclusion of the campaign. Available prizes include:

  • One-hour massage at Sindecuse Health Center
  • West Hills Athletic Club group pickleball lesson
  • Dining Services $25 each gift cards (three winners)
  • WMU Theatre ticket package
  • Sherman Lake YMCA family membership
  • Two tickets to the Jan. 30 WMU vs. University of Michigan outdoor hockey game
  • WMU swag basket
  • ZapZone XL family activity package
  • Jewelry: Ring with certificate

Five drawings will be held for those donating any amount for the first time, another five randomized drawings will be held for those renewing their donation from last year at a value of $50 or more. Any additional prizes beyond those 10 drawings will be raffled off to the full list of anyone who participated this year. 

Why it matters

Gifts made through WMU’s campaign support the work of the United Way of South Central Michigan, helping fund programs focused on health, youth opportunity and financial stability throughout the region.
