Suzanne DeGraves

I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, and love this community. After working as a teacher and counselor in public schools for 25 years, and in private practice as a therapist, I decided to return to my alma mater to provide support to WMU’s students. My highest priority as a counselor is to create a safe and positive environment, so you feel supported in working through the questions, stressors, and challenges you encounter. I will meet you where you’re at, listen without judgment, and aid in the growth you’d like to see in yourself. As a Counseling Specialist at WMU, my primary role is to meet with students for their initial intake session and work together to establish services that will best fit their needs.
