Benjamin Brady, DrPH is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs in the College of Health and Human Services. He is also a research affiliate at the Comprehensive Center for Pain and Addiction and the Harm Reduction Lab at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine.
Dr. Brady received his doctorate in Public Health Policy and Management at the University of Arizona. He also completed MPH and MS degrees in Health Behavior and Health Promotion and Sociology.
Dr. Brady studies substance use prevention programs, policies, and treatment services. He has experience in tobacco cessation, opioid overdose prevention, cannabis education, access to medication for opioid use disorder, addiction workforce development, and peer and family support specialist certification training. His research focuses on increasing access to treatment and harm reduction services, implementing patient-centered and shared decision-making practices, and improving behavioral health professional education.
