I came to WMU in 2008 as a professor in the department of occupational therapy, specializing in behavioral health assessment and intervention strategies. I have been awarded over 3.2 M in external funding for research related to behavioral health and opioid use disorder workforce education and training. I am a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, a WMU Presidential Innovation Professor, and a CHHS Interprofessional Collaboration Award recipient. Prior to joining the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs (SIHP) as Director in 2024, I served as Interim Associate Director of SIHP and Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the College.
Fun Fact: I have ridden in the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile, having won a VIP package including round trip transportation in the big dog from my home in South Bend to the highly contested 1996 Notre Dame-Ohio State football game.
