Dr. Cassie Lopez-Jeng earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan in 2009, her MPH in Health Education and Communication, and Maternal and Child Health, from Tulane University in 2011, and her Ph.D. in Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences from Tulane University in 2016.
Her research agenda focuses on the intersection of public health and aging, exploring a variety of chronic and aging-specific issues through the lens of health education, including sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity, patient safety, falls prevention, and women's reproductive health. Recent projects include interdisciplinary falls prevention programs in a variety of healthcare populations and settings.
I played in orchestras for 14 years, including 4 years with the Michigan Pops Orchestra.
