Admission requirements
Once admitted to WMU, select Healthcare Services and Sciences as your major.
Note: You must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and you must not be on academic probation to declare the HSS major. However, you must raise your GPA to 2.5 before taking a capstone experience.
Continuance and Graduation policy
- You must earn at least a C in all HSS required core courses with the Health Services (HSV) designation.
- You may repeat courses to earn the required grade of C. Only two repeated courses will count toward degree requirements. These two repeated courses may be the same course repeated twice or two courses repeated once each.
- You must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA to take your capstone course. If you do not meet that requirement the semester before your capstone course, you may take an additional semester to raise your GPA to a 2.5 or better. If you do not meet the requirement after that semester, you will be dismissed from the program.
Audiology,orientation and mobility or vision rehabilitation accelerated degree admissions
Admittance to any BS-HSS accelerated degree program requires acceptance into that graduate program. Most students apply to accelerated graduate degree programs during their junior year. Each accelerated degree program has courses that simultaneously count toward the undergraduate and graduate degree.
